#JCPenneyGate The Official Response

Following my open letter to JC Penney, I have received their official response. Sadly it didn't satisfy any of the concerns or questions raised, so I have responded in a more direct manner, to press them for answers. A standard copy and paste letter isn't going to cut it!

So first of all here is their official response.

Dear Kayla,

Thank you so much for your response to my initial letter regarding the Plus Size section in the Escondido Ca location.

Your response doesn’t fill me with confidence or satisfy any of my curiosity about the concerns and issues I raised. In short I would like to press you further for a detailed response.

I appreciate that you are working to maintain a positive customer service experience and understand that you are forwarding my concerns onto the relevant departments and the Escondido Store Manager for further review.

I would like to ask which departments my comments have been forwarded too and that I hear back from them in writing following their investigations.

I am very interested to find out why the Plus Size section is segregated from the straight sized departments, and why this is considered standard practice.

I mentioned in my previous letter that I struggle to find fashion forward garments in the Escondido Store especially. Partly due to the shambles of the department and because of the inventory you carry. This would lead me to believe that I may just not be your demographic, in which case I can concede that I am not your customer and so understandably struggle to relate. What is your demographic for that department?

Why is it merchandised differently from the rest of the store?

Are you committed to the plus size customer?
